Do you know how to pick a lock? All kinds of lock? I have an officemate who know how and she can open locked drawers and the office door during the case of emergencies or when needed. And her only tool is a twisted paperclip! Last weekend, my dad accidentally locked his room door and we have to break (almost) the doorknob just to open the door again. So I think to myself, I need to know how to lockpick. Anybody benevolent enought to share their talent and skill with me or at least point me to a website where I can read stuffs about the subject? Thanks in advance.

there are books you can probably buy to learn. i know my husband can open a locked car and bought the tools for it from Snap On Tools...they make a lot of good tools. since he bought it, a lot of his friends have asked him to help because they locked their keys in their car or they lost customers keys (he works with cars) and they need it opened. he's also helpped a few stangers who locked their keys in their car. you'll probably need proper tools, but i'm sure after figureing it out you can use simple things you see around the house or office.

I must say your husband is one skillful lockpicker, of course with the help of his tools. hehe. I know there are books that can be bought from a bookstore but since I'm cheap I prefer to look for it online and here I am asking for your help. Thanks for the tip!

Hi nvtellan, I agree that knowing how to pick a lock is really useful when needed badly. As far as I know only simple lock could be picked by just using a twisted paperclip or other simple tool. But I am sure that it is definitely difficult to pick any lock with top security. I believe even we know the clue we still need a lot of practice before we could get the skill to pick it.
