Rape victims asked for it?

i just read a blog that made me really angry and at the same time confused. the blogger was commenting about a recent rape case involving a US marine. she said that the girl was actually asking to be raped because she was drinking, dancing, etc. also she said that the guy was really good looking so it cant be rape. i think no matter how good looking the guy is or how drunk the girl is, rape is still rape. the girl was violated and im sure it's an experience that will traumatize her forever. im not allowed to post the link but i can email it to you guys if you wanna read the blog. anyway, what's your stand on this?

well, thats horrible, who cares what the guy looks like, it could be freaking brad pitt and i would call it rape. even if she's drunk or uncounsious he shouldn't touch her. he's just a plain ole sick dog like every other person who commits rape. thinking with only one brain. and the person who wrote this was a woman!?!? man, i thought women knew better. damn, a hooker can be rapped, as long as she doesn't want it and tells him no...then it is rape, no matter what you're doing or who you are..its rape.

my point exactly. it could be brad pitt and still id scream rape if i knew he violated me. given that she's drunk but does that give any man the liberty to rape her? NO! and the blogger had the nerve to write that she deserved it for behaving sluttily!

the guy was sentenced to life imprisonment so yes, it was found out that he truly raped her.

I agree. Just brcause a girl looks good and is having a good time does not mean she wants to be raped. People that think like this make me so so so angry.
just because a girl finds a guy attractive does not mean he has the right to destroy her life. men that think like this should realy be tought a lesson

just becasue some girls wear too much makeup or wear revealing clothes, that dont mean that they should be raped or were asking to be raped. rape is a traumatizing experience. it'll haunt you forever and could possibly destroy your life.
