can anyone tell me why my computer does this????

I'm constantly re-setting my screen saver..the time for it to stay OFF screen saver...so why is it that every day, or even more than once a day, it reverts back to 1 minute? How can I get it to stay on a higher time? What am I doing wrong???? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
