And then there was Jazz - Art meets music, causes graphics and captions. So Nature finds an excuse for itself.

Jazz is one of the more personally rewarding musical experiences. It's also one of the more democratic, because musicians know that the audience know their music, too. I had to move on from rock, which was getting too easy, and started to listen to jazz. Mingus is an inspiration, as are Miles Davis, Django Rhieinhardt, Grappelli, for their innovation and clarity. Vibes, visions, veracity, it's all there.

i'm not really into jazz, but i like smooth jazz of Acoustic Alchemy, vocals of Kenny Rankin, Spyro Gyra's 'Shaker song', 'Morning Dance'.. and those improvisation of classic hits (pop, love songs)

If you like the smooth stuff, can I recommend Miles Davis to you as another dimension. The musical synthesis is what jazz does best.

Ah, RAMpersona- I should probably mention that some of Miles' stuff isn't that smooth, but it's technically fascinating. Try Kind Of Blue for the definitive original cool. Mingus is sort of an ongoing musical pregnancy; all moods.

I love jazz as well. It's so relaxing after a long day. Mingus and Miles are always great. I also really love Stan Getz and Johnny Hodges. Mann that Johnny can play the sax.:-)

I swear, jazz and classical saved me as a musician. Mingus got me interested in writing music. Keeps you fresh.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, there's something about just listening to jazz that feels socially inspiring
