Favourite Garden State Quote

Sam: If you can't laugh at yourself, life is going to seem a whole lot longer than you'd like. I really like her unique moment thing the best of the whole movie. That's totally me.

I'm not sure if it's even considered a quote but I really love "the scream" Zach Braff, Natalie Portman and Peter Sarsgaard did on the gorge. That "quote" speaks so much to me.

i like that quote too... there's a lot of great lines in the movie but this one is my favorite: "You know that point in your life when you realize that the house you grew up in isn't really your home anymore? All of a sudden, even though you have some place wher you can put your stuff, that idea of home is gone. I still feel at home in my house. You'll see when you move out, it just sort of happens one day, one day and it's just gone. And you can never get it back. It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist. I mean it's like this rite of passage, you know. You won't have this feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, you know, for your kids, for the family you start, it's like a cycle or something. I miss the idea of it. Maybe that's all family really is. A group of people who miss the same imaginary place."

Mine would be when Braff is at the neurologist's office and asks the doctor if he's ok and the doctor says "Of course your ok, you're alive aren't you?" For me, that line epitomizes one of the main themes in the movie about just living.

I've always loved this line, "We may not be as happy as you always dreamed we would be, but for the first time let's just allow ourselves to be whatever is that we are and that will be better."

yeah i love that line to its so touching movie quite diffrent from other movies. zach braff was awesome and so was natalie portman. what did u like abt garden state . tell wanna make friends help me out
