I started to not post anymore tonight but I just could not resist posting this all time favorite recipe for Chicken Pot Pie. It is so simple and you will feel good feeding your family this all homemade pot pie. To make it, you must first make the S.O.S Mix. This is a great quick meal for after Church. You wont need to go out to dinner or stop at the market. After all it is sunday, shouldnt you be spending it with your family.
Chicken Pot Pie
1/3 cup Dry S.O.S mix
1 1/4 cup cold water
1 cup cooked chicken, cubed
1 package frozen mixed vegetables
Biscuit topping
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup baking powder biscuit mix (posted earlier)
Combine SOS mix with water. cook and stir on stove top or in microwave until thickened. In 9 inch pie place combine sauce, vegetables and chicken. Combine egg, milk and baking mix. Pour over chicken mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
See how easy that was. It tastes great and without all that nasty MSG, sodium and preservatives.

Hope you enjoy it. I love chicken pot pies myself. They are great to eat on sunday after Church. We like to eat a light lunch after church. You could always copy it and save it to a file on your computer.

It's no good I have got to ask, what on earth is S.O.S. mix .. ??? It sounds like and emergency message or something like that heheh !!!
I probably know what it is but have never heard it called SOS or maybe it's just an American thing .. ??
Even without the SOS part the recipe sounds good .. like one of my 'bug it' recipes ... one big pot and 'bung' all ingrdients in together and slow cook until ready ...

There is never any left at our house either. It is one of those wonderful dishes that you just have to eat it all before you quit!

I posted the recipe for it in a previous article. S.O.S. stands for "Soup or Sauce" Mix. It is a homemade mix. I apoligize for not stating that clearly in this article. It is so simple to make.
