Butter or Margarine, which is better?

Some years ago I heard on radio about a reseach which was big enough to show what is healthy or not. The target persons in the study were 50 000 med. doctors and 90 000 nurses. The study showed that those who used butter had stayed more healthy than those who used margarine.
Could it be the transfats or hardened fats in the margarine that made it unhealthy?
Please give your opinion.

I'm not sure but personally I use butter and not margarine because I always found it tasted worse. But yes I think that it's very probable that the healthiness of it has to do with the transfats and cholesterol found in margarine compared to butter.
