Discussion And Response - Add Comment

When you respond to somebody else's discussion indirectly, ie., to say through adding a comment to somebody else's response, it does not get listed in your list of "discussions that you have responsed to". So do you get compensated for this comment by mylot ? Besides, how do you keep track of such a comment ?
