Does any one know the difference between a spa/hot tub and a jacuzzi?

yes a spa/hottub is where the water is in there all the time, and you need to put chloring and other chemicals in there to keep the water clean. This is what is typically in spas, gyms or resorts.
A Jacuzzi is a regular old bathtub that you fill with water each time, but there are jets in the bathtub, much like there are in a hottub, and you can turn them off or on at will, and enjoy a special bath experience.

Actually, Jacuzzi is the brand name for a hot tub, in fact, the first hot tub. They have also made regular tubs with the bubble massage feature under this brand name.
So, as the proud owner of a Jacuzzi hot tub, I think I can safely say - its all in the name! I had a friend that bought a regular tub with the bubble feature, I've sat in a tub with one at a hotel (that I've since learned isn't the brightest idea) and I've used my hot tub. The power of a hot tub & the heatting element is the original feature differences - tho I've heard that this year they have come out with the regular tub with the heating feature.

spa/hot tubs involve water and jacuzzis involve steam.
