teenagers: expecially males!!!!!

I am a recent widow trying to raise a 14 year old teenager and things have gotten to where he wants to be in control of the home and not me. Suggestions on how to reverse this role playing would be most grateful.

I'm not teenagers & male too. I'm not getting ur problem properly, but following may help u...
*Don't force ur son to behave as u expect, let him be as he wants.
*Try to be his fried,teenagers need good friends to share their feelings, take active participation in this.
*Take interest in his interests, watch football/cricket match in company.
*Give surprize gifts.
*Admit time to time that u love him too much.
