This tends to apply more to Asians, for some reason we just love to keep plastic bottles and do reuse them when it was really made to be disposed after being used once. Do you reuse plastic bottles? Or do you throw them away as soon as you finish its contents?

i've heard that it might be dangerous for people to reuse plastic bottles because there are toxins that get released into the water over time. but i'm not sure how true that is. and i sometimes reuse mineral water bottles. but i don't put hot water in them.
there was another thread in mylot that said that hard plastic bottles like nalgene might also be dangerous. but hopefully not cos i put warm water in those sometimes.

It is not just Asian countries, the situaton is even worse in my country Uganda-a few weks ago i was driving around town and came to sewerage channel and found a group of street children collecting used bottles from the dirtiest of places-some were being washed and water firms were buying these dirty bottles and reusing them again! I am very scard of bottled water thes days!

sounds funny. that's why re call them disposable bottles because we just throw them away after using it's content. but funny as it may be, i do reuse plastic bottles. it's my own way of recycling things. the world is almost covered up with garbages. and recycling will atleast help lessen waste problems.

I reuse the bottles as much as possible (I live in the USA). I usually rinse them and use them for juice or water. If I don't resuse them, I recycle them, because I am a strong advocate for the environment. When I see people throwing them away, I ask them to recycle. I usually get weird looks.
