Is based in Glasgow, its tough police drama or as the Scots like to say polis.
I love this programme, despite the grime and the some what gruesome finds.
Did you know that three actors died in Taggart. There was Taggert himself, Mark McManus, God rest his soul. Then there was Taggerts boss, The Biscuit, Iain Anders also known as McVitie, and then there was the Forensic Examiner, Robert Robertson.
Who else is there, well it was always Michael, Jackie and Stuart and of course Jim Taggart.
Michael Jardine, died in the show but James MacPherson who plays Michael is safe and well.
It was hard to fill Jims shoes but they brought in a tough toffe with a soft centre. I love this guy, he is so hard and at first you think he will never replace Taggert in a million years. Matt Burke. He made the role his own.
Then is Robbie, he is cute, I mean he is very hard but like Burke he has a soft centre.

Honestly they have the whole genre of this fantastic series and it is still going strong.
Definitely not for the faint hearted or weak stomach. Hard, gritty drama, but above all this is like an original CSI for Glasgow.

I think Taggart is an amazing programme but I am biased as I come from Glasgow myself. I love watching it so that I can spot what areas they have been filming in and such like.
"There's been a murder"
I actually really think that they have conveyed one side of Glasgow life in it really well.
The question is though: do they play it anywhere else.
