The first tip I can give you is new, original content and regular updates etc. You mention you've already submitted it to a couple of search engines (there's many more out there :-) ) but that can sometimes take weeks if not months to get your site indexed. Set up a blog and put a link to your site in it - ping the blog which informs the SE that's there's something new so they send spiders running, regular updates keeps them coming back. Add your site to relevant directories and forums (not all directories require links back). There's a couple of tips for you.
