Suitable Adaptec SCSI PCI cards for Arcus 2

I have just bought an Arcus 2 scanner on auction to scan my 35 mm slides, but need to buy a suitable Adaptec SCSI card for my XP PC. I am completely confused by the model designations and don't really understand the whole SCSI thing. Can someone suggest a card or cards that work with the Arcus.
