I once heard someone in a large country house telling me that throwing the coffee grounds down the sink as it is good for the sink. I am not sure if this is true. Does anyone know as I don't want to block my own sink.

I have heard that they are bad to put in the sink, that they help to clog it! They are excellent for the compost pile! I posted a link where you can read the dos/don'ts for sinks!

Coffee grounds are also not good for the septic system if you have one. I was told that by the septic inspecter when we had to have our tank inspected b4 building our new house.
