Golden Pumpkin Bars - Recipe using yellow cake mix

INGREDIENTS 1 pkg yellow cake mix 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk ¼ cup vegetable oil 1 teaspoon almond extract 4 eggs ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ cup slivered almonds, toasted & finely chopped ½ teaspoon salt 1 16-oz can solid pack pumpkin DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 (325 for glass dish). Reserve ½ cup dry cake mix. IN large mixer bowl, combine remaining cake mix, oil, and 1 egg; beat until crumbly. Stir in nuts if desired. Press firmly on bottom of greased 13x9 inch pan. In same bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour over prepared crust. Bake 50 minutes or until set. Cool. Cut into bars. Garnish as desired. Store tightly covered.

Thanks for another great recipe, you are going to make all of us fat, LOL. I love pumpkin deserts. I once made homemade pumpkin pies, cakes and bread. I was ambitious I used a real pumpkin, I had pumpkin coming out my ears, haha. I learned using the canned pumpkin is so much easier.
