Ok, I have a 4 year old that just loves to learn and is too ahead of the game, so he wants to change the pace a bit I think. He realy loves to learn. So, I was thinking in addition to his regular pre-school curriculim I would add some thing like Leapster handheald/plug into tv system or Vtech handheald/plug in to tv system. I want to know what you parents think about these products or if you know of any others, What are the pros and cons and such.

we have the Vtech gaming system that plugs into the tv and my stepson really enjoys to play it and it teaches him hand eye co-ordination as well as spelling, counting, matching, grouping, colors, ect. We found it took him a while to get used to the buttons and the handling of the joystick, but now that he has the hang of it he loves it. The only thing with the vtech system i dont like is you have to buy the system, and then the outlet adapter is seperate. you either have to run it on batteries or buy the plug as well. I'm not sure about the other system, i know he has that one at his mom's house but i dont know if he likes one better then the other to be honest i never thought to ask him.

Vtech is the one we decided on because of exactly what you said. Thanks for the input. :)

I am sorry, but I do not know much about these devices since our daughter is only six months now. Good luck with your search, though.
