Saying white lies, is it OK?

This is about white lies.I say a lot of white lies.I jus wanted to know how acceptable white lies were.

The problem with "little white lies" is that it becomes a habit and them begins to make it easier for us to tell bigger lies. If a friend askes something such as do I look alright today , there is no harm in saying that they look great even tho you might think they look bad. It is your friends feelings you are protecting, but just to fib a little in every day conversation is bad because it really does start lending a pattern to being dishonest.
