If everyone was pointing upwards, would they all be pointing the same direction?

Even a person standing next to you would be pointing at a different area, if the angle at which he/she held his/her hand up was same as yours, because the earth is round and space is huge. So even a fraction of a degree difference would indicate points in space which would be thousands (or more) of light years apart.

Yeah, that sounds about right and I do not see how we all can be pointing at the same thing. We all have to be a little bit off somehow.
