In a recent wellness seminar I just attended, the topic of obesity cropped up. Obesity has subtlely made it's way up the ranks of health problems. When we see young children, we think they are cute just because they shaped round like a baloon. Do we realised that they could be having an obesity problem? Today, we adults, are in no way any better or healtier. The type of meals we consumed are no longer as healthy as before. Fast food builds fast fat tummies as well. Let's discuss how we can help keep obesity at bay. Some of you may opt for processed medications like pills, etc. There are others who believed in traditional medicine or those of herbal nature. Since, this is a global community, maybe different ones of us all around this planet called earth can share how obesity is tackled in our countries.

From the beginning, parents need to encourage children to be active and control their eating. I had a disadvantage because I was sick all the time as a kid, so I didn't exercise as much as I could. But, I didn't have a weight problem as a child , either. My parents controlled what I ate and encouraged me to do whatever exercise I could. I also did chores that required me to be physical. So many parents, nowadays, don't control what their kids eat because they hate to hear their kids say that they're hungry. And, many kids are always in front of TVs and computers, not outside playing. Has anyone noticed that kids who play outside a lot or play sports do not have a weight problem?

In the old days, our parents unconsciously are more health conscious. My parents too, made sure I ate the right stuff and amount. I too advocate exercising for all ages. Especially children. It is good to start them young. Parents should refrain from taking their children too often to fast food outlets. Most of the fast food outlets uses our children as baits because children are always the easier target.
