I would vote for Barack today if I could. I don't trust Hillary on many levels. To me she isn't an honest person and is sucked into the political way of life or she would have left Bill after he publicly embarrassed her when he was with Monica. Barack is fresh and has already done some great things for Illinois. He isn't clouded over by politics and he seems very caring and genuine. I've scoured his website at http://obama.senate.gov/ and while there is no info regarding his opinions on our economy, he seems to have the right ideas to get our country back on track. As an atheist, I find it both amusing and pathetic that people across the US are calling him the antichrist because of his quick following. I also see that a lot of people are saying they won't vote for him just because of his name. One lady said, "Well I'm just not ready to vote for a man whose last name sounds like Osama, " And many other people have picked on his family name, which happens to be Hussein and he uses it as his middle name. I really thought we were all intelligent and evolved enough to pick a candidate based on whether or not he was right for the job. In a way I find it ironic that we have a black man who has a great shot at winning the presidency yet Americans don't seem to care about his ethnicity. All they care about is his name! I've never cared about race or gender myself but I'm bewildered at how republican states tend to care about race and now no one even seems to take notice. I'm probably not making my point well but I think Americans who care about race, gender and a name and not the real issues are nuts and they are completely holding us back as a society. It's like they always have to find a reason to judge others or they aren't happy and when it comes to such an important position, people just need to ignore their hang-ups for the good of society. I swear if Barack doesn't get elected just because of a name I will flee to Canada. I'm not kidding this time! :P

good points...i didn't know some people considered him the antichrist...what is wrong with people...and i am shocked that if a person doesn't vote for him it's because of his name...this man is a very educated man has goals and morals...only in america do we have this nonsense...and this is suppose to be the land of the free and home of the brave....race nor gender should never be as important as morals, and goals of where this country should be lead...people need to wake and realize that this country will go down the tubes by choosing the wrong president...look where we are at now...with the genius we have running the country...i think that if obama doesn't win i will also join u in canada. lol :) only in america....

Let's say Hillary changed to the republican party and Obama remained a democrat. Then that would be Hillary vs Obama for president. I would vote for Hillary. Obama is way too inexperienced. Hillary has much more of an idea what is practical and what works and what does not. Hillary would be much more effective in the war on terror. Hillary would be more effective at anything you can think of. Hillary was an actual member of her husband's administration even though she did not hold an official office. Obama simply needs more experience.

i disagree...our current president is inexperienced...I think we need to step in a new and fresh direction...would it be better if they ran on the same ticket....and if hillary where a republican i wouldn't vote...don't be offend if u are a republican...i just don't agree with there view...and the dems are making me want to go independant...but i do agree hillary is a very practical person and she has done alot as well......

Inexperience can be good because he won't be swayed by political corruption. Plus he's very well educated which makes up for any political experience. His track record in Illinois is the proof. Hillary is a woman who isn't honest with us or herself. She acted like what Bill did to her was no big deal because they are partners for life. No. She stuck with him for the political clout that comes with being a Clinton. Then she moves to NY to escape him. She wasn't even from NY! Every move she makes reeks of personal gain.

I think that race and/or gender should matter but for reasons that have been oppressing women and minorities by having only white males in charge. I would love to see both of them on the ticket together in some way.

I think that would be a great idea....barack and hilary have a nice ring to it...who would be president and who would be vice pres..do u think that by them running against each other will hurt there chances....vs running the same ticket....
