Yes, the followers of God like abraham, solomon, david, job, jacob etc... are rich, but they are not only rich but they are followers of God , they follow the will our God. theres nothing wrong to be rich , its just that how you can use your money, God gave this riches or fortune to use it for Good works, by doing Good to others. a lot of people take scriptures out of context because there is no understanding. what all the followers of God and christ had in common was that their wealth is not that important but the love of our God. why there are poor people if God wants us to be rich, the answer to this, is are you a hardworker, or you get dissapointed easily with what happenned to you, and you did not gave yourself a chance to try again, the meaning of rich for me is not only a fortune, a money, but to be rich in character, rich in good works, and thats what God really counts. to be rich in love. and that what God really wants.
