What do you reach for when you are sick with a cold for comfort?
A blanket? hot tea? your bed? chicken soup?
I find that I just want my bed, peace and quiet and to eat soup but not chicken necessarily and coke!
What do you reach for when you are sick with a cold?

I usually drink soup,or hot coffee along with some vitamin c and tylenol. Works like a charm.

Ironically since I go to the gym 5 times a week I have had less colds, or may be a coincidence. But when I do get a cold I have a hot toddy, when I was living at home my dad used to give me a hot whisky or a whisky coffee which worked wonders. I also like a hot bath to sweat the germs out of me

I have a blanket that I like to lay under. It's soft and fuzzy. I usually lay on the end of the sofa with my pliiow and blanket and watch TV. My stomach has been weird since I had bypass surgery, so milk is about all I can drink and not get sick on. Luckily it sits well even if I am not feeling good.

When I am sick I want a nice warm blanket and my bed. I want the softest box of tissues you can find sitting next to my bed and lots of orange juice nearby. I have to have a Pepsi or two thrown in as comfort foods as well, and if I feel up to eating anything else it will probably be grilled cheese and soup. That was what my mom used to always give me when I was sick when I was little so I guess it is a sort of comfort food for me still. I'll take peace and quiet for the most part, but if I want attention I will come out of hiding and lounge on the couch for a while. Don't expect to see much of me until it's over though. I don't like being around people when I'm like this.

When I have a bad cold I like to have peace and quiet. I take everything that I consider my "essentials" into the bedroom with me and kind of hibernate in there until I'm feeling better. I love having some kind of warm tea with honey, my grandma's quilt, my dog and cat, a good book and the tv remote.
