How to avoid a boring discussion - any tips?

I always find a group of my friends are very busy in discussing the same topic repeatedly. They all have the same sort of very common problem and each day they start gossiping about those topics during the office hours. On the other hand, they are my good friends and help me a lot. But I just can't tolerate the same repeatitive discussions over and over again each day. How will I avoid them without hurting their sentiments, any tips?

I think you will just have to tactfully try to start a conversation about something else and see if they are able to talk about other things.
If they start talking about something you really don't like perhaps choose that time to get a coffee or take a break.

Couldn't you just not respond to it?
This must really be frustrating to you. You could try not logging on for a week or two.
