new zealand visa

i have the permanant resident visa of australia.and we are migrating soon.i have never been to australia nor to new zealand,can i come to new zealand for three weeks for vacation without the visa or i have to get a visitor visa to new zealand for three weeks form Fiji.

I was under the impression you could only get a visitor VISA for New Zealand for no more than a month. That was some time ago and their laws may have changed..I would check with the consulate.

My sister lives in NZ and we visit her often. My wife is Chilean and lives in Australia on a permanent residency visa and can go to NZ when she likes for as long as she likes so maybe the rules have changed!

I think because you have sibling living there..it's easier to get a VISA...Fot those of us who come from other countries not so easy..

Yes you can, if you are a permanent resident of Australia it's not a problem, you can stay in NZ as long as you like!
