Jawaharlal Nehru

Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India. He was born on 14 Novemver. He give roses to all children. He loves all children. So that day Childrens Day was celebrated all over the country. Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of free India and an architect of modern India. Jawaharlal Nehru was a world statesman. He established democracy, in the country. He founded ,Non-Alignment Movement of Panchseel together with Col. Nasser 'of Egypt and Marshal Tito of Yugoslavia. Jawaharlal Nehru was born on 14th November1889, in Allahabad with enormous wealth and fortune. He grew up in the care of European governesses. Then was sent to boarding school and attended Trinity College, Cambridge. He became a barrister in 1912, and returned to India in 1916 and married Kamala Devi. After that he came into contact with his political inspirer; Mahatma Gandhi. Since then he assisted Gandhiji in various movements for India' freedom struggle. Nehru was imprisoned frequently by Britishers during India's freedom struggle and spent almost 17 years in jail Indian National Congress under his President ship, adopted the famous resolution of complete Independence at its Lahore session in 1929 India gained freedom in 1947 and Nehru became its first Prime Minister. He was a visionary and thrust rural India into technical and industrial fields. He was romantic at heart. His soft foreign policy cost us war with China. But history would forgive him because Nehru fashioned India into a forward-looking modern secular state. He loved children and thus was called Chacha Nehru. His B-day is celebrated as Children Day every year. His most famous books are Discovery of India, Autobiography, Glimpses of world history etc. India's this invaluable gem was honoured Bharat Ratna in 1955. He left for heaven on 27th May. 1964.
