Well we took my oldest son to the bahamas. That is where he wants to go. If we get to do this I have to start paying for it now. He is just in the 9th grade and it will take me three years to pay for this. What I like is when we go, my husband and other son will go along with my parents and my brother and his family will go. Alot of people say you should not give a gift when your child graduates. I disagree. To me, they have worked hard and besides being able to walk across the stage to get there deploma, they need something from there parents saying "Hey, I am so proud of you" . Thats just me.

No I haven't. We still save for our anniversary that we will celebrate abroad. It must be fun. Congratulations on your son graduation !

Thank you. He will not be graduating for another 3 years. I am just saving for now. We took my oldest son on a cruse to the Behamas. It was great.

I have not done this myself but my parents have taken a cruise to Alaska and they did this during last year. They loved it very much and they showed me beautiful pictures of their trip and the sights they saw while in Alaska as well as the places they stopped along the way. That is so nice that you will be taking your son to Alaska and I bet that you both will enjoy it very much and may not want to come back. Have a great time.

Thank you. I just want my son to know that I am proud of all the hard work he has done in school. He has really struggled and I think he needs to be rewarded.

My future in-laws did go on an Alaskan cruise. They had a fantastic time. They said it was absolutely beautiful there. I am sure you will have a wonderful time and good for you for making a trip with your son. I am sure it will be a great experience for both of you and certainly special!

Oh....I am sooo jealous! My husband and I have actually been talking about taking one of those cruises. We have 4 little boys, and they love the idea of going to see eskimos and igloos, although that's probably not what people see when they take that cruise. We went on a cruise to Mexico a few years back, and it was pretty nice. I would much rather go to Alaska. Let us know all about it when you come back, whenever that is!
