Well i thought it would be cool to start a discussion on what people have leant in life.
Hopefully we'll get some use advice aswell have some fun. i'll rate everyone who posts and also reply, like i pretty much do. =)
what lesson's have you learnt in life?
------------------------------------------------------------
I've learnt that it isn't really hard to open up to people when you feel respected. also life pretty changes you, one day you may be depressed and another day your holding a bundle of joy and your pretty much on top of the world.
Probably the most important less i've learnt is to make the most of being with someone and respect people for being different. when my grandfather passed away i missed 2 weeks of going to see him because i thought i would give it away that he was dying. (i still miss him today) much like my second grandad who died not long after my son was born. i didn't really see him often, which i feel i took for granted. although he did live quite far away.
anyways i'll shup up. i just wanted to share another topic, if you'd like to share yours please do =)
i'll look forward to reading and getting to know members of mylot more.

Interesting discussion. I've learned quite a bit in life but would be unable to post it all. Lets just skim over it a little.
As a child, I learned that other children are mean and hateful.
As a teenager, I learned that other teenagers are mean and hatefull.
As an adult, I have learned that other adults just dont care anymore.
I also learned that having a family is the most important thing to me in life. I would do anything for my wife, daughters, and godson.

Well, if I say truth, then I still have to learn a lot from my life.
Some lessons that I got from my life are:
Even many decisions in a family, if taken, must contributed of everyone's advice, from elders to children's.
I said children's because they have a different and creative way of thinking and it may be many times beneficial.
We have to never underestimate others and even not to be get depressed by others.
Never ever get down for emotional blackmailing.
Be frank to yours family member.
Never lie to yours parents.
Give respect take Respect.
And many more will be added as far as I get some lessons from my life as it goes on.
Have a nice day.

Life would really give us lots of things to ponder on and thoughts to cherish. Other than that lessons learned in life are considered the most valuable lesson that a person can learn.
Well for me, the greatest lesson I have learned in life is to " Take every opportunity that comes along".
In my life a have missed lots of opportunities thinking that there would still be better things that would be coming as i live life.
But unfortunately i usually end up having the least or unwanted options taken when stuck on a dilemma.
Everytime that there is an opportunity i dont take it seriously and just let it pass and wait and wait for other options.
If you think and you feel that something is really for you then grab it.coz you might end up with the things that you dont really like.
In life you need to gamble. Winners in life are the ones who take risks and live with its consequences.
Be brave face the odds!

Yup again another nice reply!
I have to say i'm content with my life now. i only want to make changes to myself, be more open and try and make new friends. (online or off) really it's something i should be doing anyway.
Kudos stutiaquarian =)

Life is like a kaleidescope that one minute you're up and the next minute you're down. When I was a little girl, I used to envy all my friends because their parents are always there to show their support and happiness during graduation, cheerleading competition, dance recitals, etc. I thought to myself why should my own parents keep working and never had any time for me. Now as a mother, I realized that my parents had no choice but to work in order to feed me and my siblings. But I'm not happy with what I'm feeling before as a little girl. Feeling neglectful and unloved. That's why I decided to become a stay-at-home mom so my girls will feel my presence. I learned to choose between being with my family rather than accepting a sizable income job offered to me before.

I have learnt that respect is important. First you have to respect yourself and second you have to respect all things around you even if they are people, animals or plants.

I have learned from my life so far, that the mistakes you make once you pay them for the rest of your life and you suffer and you are hurt for long long time.

The most important thing I have learned is life is unpredictable so you should live each day like it's your last. People take some many things for granted. No one really knows when they are going to die. So, I say be happy and do what you can each and every day. Make sure you tell the people in your life that you love them. About 9 months ago my 12 year old son was hit by a speeding car. He's okay. He was wearing his helmet. He did break both his legs, road rash on most of his chest, bruises and cuts everywhere and a black eye. It was a horrible experience for me because I saw him there lying on the side of the street bleeding. It was so difficult to stay calm and focused. I thought I had lost him. So, I started to make sure I tell my kids I love them as well as the rest of my family. It's strange because even though my sisters and brothers know I love them we never really said it to each other. I think I freaked them out at first because they got quiet for a few seconds. Not because they were shocked that I loved them or because they didn't love me.It was just out of the ordinary. It's different now, because they say back to me now.
PS: Make sure your love ones wear bike helmets, it may very well save their life someday.

i have learnt mainly to keep my feelings and opinions to myself. as they have got me into quiet alot of trouble. i have also learnt that people that have always been there for you, can all of a sudden disappear...and now due to this is put family first
