When you have used and extinguished your candle wait until the next day, then take the candle out of the holder, upend it and hey presto, you have a nice clean apparently unused candle for display purposes. When you want to light it again, simply return the wick end to view and light.

Well unless they have been very sneaky the whole of the wax should be scented and you should get the same smell. You are only turning the candle upside down during the day so that when you have visitors it looks all nice and new and clean. Then at night tip it up and light it lol.

Thats really clever and a bit sly, my problem is that I get chubby candles and they tend to mis shape by about half way down.

hhmmmm we will have to consider what to do about that. First thoughts is a deeper holder so when they are turned upside down turing the day only the top, which is the bottom and in perfect shape, is visible. We have lots of little things like that. They don't call my home the Hotel California for nothing lololol.

Basically it is the same technique whether scented or not. I actually have had a try at candle making and it is nasty, smelly and the stuff gets everywhere! I like scented candles too but lately I have been using the plug in air fresheners with the musky fragrances because my candles keep setting my smoke alarm off.

I could not understand it . could you elaborate it for me ... How it is ever lasting new looking candle - how can we light it again and again ...

OK, maybe that was a wrong description. A friend of ours refers to our candles as "everlasting candles" because she knows we burn them at night, she has been here when we are using them, but when she arrives during daylight they appear not to have been burnt at all.

oh, He is such a perfectionist! We have a very overcrowded one bedroomed flat at the moment but we hope to move and then he is going to have every room as he wants, designer wise (lolololol can't WAIT to see him try!) but until then little touches like unburnt candles settle his artistic tendencies!
