Are visuals (photographs, advertorials etc) more important than content for magazines? Do you think that magazines should just be the "light and easy" versions of books?

i would say both visuals and content are important because they compliment each other :) and helps the reader appreciate and understand better whatever he's reading :)

As we usually hear, pictures speak a thousand words and they are truth. People are very much attracted to what they see right away and pictures satisfy such. Sometimes, if they don't like the picture, they don't care to read the content. Magazines should really be the light and easy versions of books but the trend nowadays are not so anymore. People prefer to satisfy their eyes than their minds for wisdom but they satisfy their minds from the pictures they see. I am an author and translator of the Word of God from Greek to English and so other authors do now produce the Holy Bible in pictures.
