Well, both the parents do influence a child but i will strongly agree to this that, if they both arent compatible it will leave a high negative impact on the child as, he will sense that something is wrong sooner or later and one parent accompanying him will be better than hurting the child by telling lies!

yes i'm agree. if they are not compatible with each other and one of them is not happy, they will just fight all the time and it will more affect to the child. all you have to do is explain to teh child y you're alone and why you and your partner need to be apart

i think for the sake of the child atleast both parents should live together.its important for a child to have both their parents atleast till he/she gets over the teens
