Ok, I have been working with my wild petsmart parakeets (3 of them) for 3 years now. 1 is blue, one is turquoise, and one is white with a few freckles. My white bird has taken a particular interest in me, and actually whistles when she needs water, or food, cute, right? I think it is! But it seems my birds have me trained! if I forget about them, for too long, they start causing a ruckus, knocking things over and getting wild, like a bunch of birds! hehehee so, now thatthey have me trained, how can I train them expecially if they do not like to be touched? this seems to be our barrier....

My dad used to breed what we called budgies and he used to always say that to train them to talk you had to have a male one I think and they had to be on their own, as if they stayed with the others they don't tame so I don't know if that is the case or not...

Training parakeets at an adult age if not impossible it can be difficult, if you hand reared them then it will not be difficult. In your case you have to tame them first, spend lots of time with them, make them feed on your hand. Taming by the way is the first thing to do if you wish to train them.
