Is this the best barbecue?

All who love barbeque and have an educated opinion let your voice be heard! Yesterday after church we went out for lunch at Famous Dave's barbecue joint. We love the food and the atmosphere there. If you have small kids you know what a pain it is to take them to a restaurant, especially one that serves messy food. What a relief to go someplace that has an entire roll of paper towels on the table! How many times have you had to ask for a million extra napkins because your kids are spilling everything? I also love the fact that they have a sink in the dining area so you can wash your hands without waiting for your turn in the restroom. My husband put it in a nutshell. He said, this is the kind of place where nobody is going to give you a dirty look if your kid throws a chicken bone on the floor! lol This is the only BBQ place in our area. What is your favorite BBQ restaurant?

You are so right about children.. THis sounds like a great place... My favorite BBQ place is Brooks Chicken BBQ... it has amazing food.. They have great homemade salads... Most of the time we just get take out though.. because its so much easier.. Yummy food :)

I'm a server at Famous Dave's in Illinois. I love my job but the environment with the employees is rotten and I'm thinking about leaving, although I have to give them credit, they never take it out onto the floor where guests can see! The food is superb! Everything is done from scratch and there is true care in preparation. I don't know if you are aware of the story behind Famous Daves, but if you are not you should check it out at Famousdaves.com . The founder is truly an extraordinary gentleman, and it's reflected in his restaurants. After all, "They don't call you Famous if you're just pretty good!" ;)

As far as I know, we don't have a Famous Dave's in Florida. My favorite BBQ places are Smokey Bones, Sonny's BBQ and Woody's BBQ. They are all very good. I will check out Famous Dave's and see if I can find out where they're located and maybe one day I can try them. I love the idea of a sink in the dining area!
