is your dog your best friend or just someone that is there..??
not sure what my dog is.. i mean my chow protects me.. i was working at another grooming shop and found that he was trying to protect me when my back was turned by trying to actually get out of the cage and growling when someone came in.. so i would say my chow is a friend..
the husky she has no clue she is just there basically..
but my chow actually waits for me to come home

I like dogs very much. They are cute, obediant and loyal. Very nice to have them and play with them. I have a dog at home that jumps at me whenever I get back to my home. It licks my legs and love playing with me.

My dogs are certainly my best friends. They protect me, they keep my feet warm at nght and they stay by my side. I'm never lonely because I have them. I've had a lot of dogs... I karried into 2 more. I already had my 2 boys, who are my friends and my buddies. Then I merged with two more. THe big male dog took to me right away, even lets me fall asleep on him, like he's a giant pillow. I've been married for a year and a half and I am JUST now connecting with the female shepherd. She used to be neglected and abused by her first owner, and then my husband rescued her. HE is her everything and nothing else matters. BUt after knowing her for 2 years now, she is finally opening up to me - might be because I feed her every day!! But I am finally feeling that connection with her that I feel with all the other dogs. Some dogs take longer... It's always worth the wait!

My dog is a friend but not my best friend. However, no one should treat a dog like someone who is just "there" just like any human should not be treated that way either.
