How did you ever enter your birthdate?

When I signed up for this site it asked for my birthdate and offered a drop down menu that is prefilled and you just have to click on it...sounds simple, right?...Wellllllll..not so...I can't enter my birthdate because the selection arrows sit right on the dates and you can't see what you are selecting!! I have no idea if I am listed at 20 or 80...neither of which is correct!!! Has anyone else had this issue? I have tried to correct it...but it stays the same with the same options...so being 58 may appear to be 85 or 95 ...or 19...I feel more like 30 than 85...so I suppose that's all that matters!!! Any thoughts or tricks?
