Ive only been a myLot member for a little while now and I sometimes find myself coming on with great ideas on topics of conversation that I would like to bring up just for the heck of it and I get on the site and by the time ive logged in and checked out some of the new topics and whatnot, and ive looked around for a bit, I find myself completely braindead, I jsut cant remember what I wanted to write about nor can I think of anything afterwards that I would like to write about... Have you ever had a situation like this? what do you do when you get writers block?

Sometimes you have just push through it one letter at a time. A lot of times when I get stuck I find that if I write SOMETHING my creative juices get going and I can get past it. Of course, sometimes you just need a break too. Hmmm....

maybe I'll try that, when I take a break I ususally get my better ideas, its after I logged on and checked everything out that I tend to forget, maybe just pushing through until it starts to flow would be the better way of getting it through

That's probably your answer then. Write your posts as soon as you log on, don't even look around. Then, when you've said what's on your mind, look around and respond to others. I have that same problem.

LOL....I think that we must all feel this way about that part as i always used to be teh same way. I find that the best solution to this is simple and that is to keep a notebook or paper with a pen. Write it down so that you will not forget this is effective even when you are offline just to jot down ideas that you may have through out teh day also!!! Another important key factor is to try not to think too hard about one thing just write and do not waste your time thinking. Not all discussions will be successful but instead of wasting too much time thinking of whether or not it will get alot of responses just post anything to see what in fact does. Good luck!!

Thats a good idea I'll have to write that down ;) lol I actually never thought of that, I take mental notes all the time about things I have to remember but I never thought about writing down my ideas on notes so that I cant forget... that would also help me remember my ideas for when I'm writing my poetry as i tend to have a similar issue, while i'm doing something an idea to expand and improve on my poems in progress will hit me and I sometimes forget it by the time I get back to writing it down, that would save me a lot of hassle... and so simple to I never thought of it thank you
