Baby, it's cold out there...It is too cold to go out and even enjoy the snow, so how do you keep yourself and the rest of the family sane while they are tripping over each other? We do play games at night and watch movies, but that is kinda getting old. We have a pretty limited budget and are looking for some suggestions on how to keep everyone happy till the arctic air leaves. Anyone have any suggestions?

We usually rent all the DVD's we can get from the Library. It's a chance to catch up on all the BBC stuff. Otherwise, we just snack a lot and get on each others nerves. I've noticed when I take the DVDs back that the library is usually crowded. I guess everybody goes there to return things as soon as there is a little break in the weather and decides to stay for awhile. Infact, they're talking about putting a coffee bar in my library because it's getting to be such a popular place. Hopefully it will be a cofee shop with low end prices and good coffee. That would be amazing!

This could be a great time to clean things out. To go through the closets and drawers to get rid of things you know longer need. Time to rearrange the furniture. Also maybe dig out a cook book and see about making things like home made taffy. That is an activity for the whole family to participate in. Baking cookies or home made bread is also good, especially since the oven helps warm up the kitchen. Perhaps get a big jigsaw puzzle that everyone can help out on. good luck with the cabin fever. I know that it's hard to keep away.
