We gave my son my husbands old PC as his Christmas present. Since he is eight we placed restrictions regarding downloading and installing files and the times he could get on the PC, etc. All that is working fine. We have an issue that neither of us have ever seen before and cannot figure out how to fix. On the main user profile there is sound on anythign pulled up from the HD or the internet. However, when you log on to my sons user profile, only some things have sound. At first we though the internet just didn't have sound, but when we installed a few of his games on to the HD, some had sound and others - that were suppose to have sound - didn't. We are running Windows XP.

I have issues with my kids games on my PC, which is also a backup. Even the stuff on the disc that we buy from the store can cause little hiccups. Have you tried system restore? it usually does the trick, you can find it in "start" then "control panel" it is easy to do, just follow the prompts. PM me if you can't figure it out.
