With my first born I had little knowledge on the way of shampooing her hair. I'd let the water run down her face to rinse her hair. But the darling never complained. But one evening I had to bathe her in the kitchen sink and when I rinsed her hair I placed her on her back on the counter and let her hair hang over into the sink. And when I'd finished she said ever so tenerly, "Mommy, you're not trying to kill me anymore, uh?" I almost cried at that. And I thought oh, how much this little child truly trusts me.

She sounds like a character. I'm surprised she never made a noise. My kids all screamed if water even got near their eyes. They hate having their hair washed. Well, they did when they were babies and toddlers. Now I turn the tub faucet on and rinse their hair in that instead of pouting dirty water from the bath onto their heads.

Yes she's quite beautyful character. She's always loved water so much so that I had to keep the bathroom door locked.

That is cute! Parents are the entire world for their children for a few years, so trust is all they know. It's one of those things that continues to amaze you and melt your heart for a long, long time.

Hahah that is too cute . You never know what they are going to come up with next . I always tried to have my children not be nervous when I washed their hair and would try to just let the water drip down but never did get very far doing this as they would cry so hard and I would have to give them a face cloths . I am so nervous about water being in my face and never wanted my children to have the same fear and thought by starting them off they wouldn't have the same fear as me but they all ended up with it .

Yeah I also learned to put a wash cloth over their forheads so that they could dry their eyes if water got in or too close to them. I've also bathed some of my neices and nephews and they'd enjoy the water so much that they would actually dunk their heads in the water themselves to rinse off their hair.
