I have a friend who 'suffers' horribly from this 'condition' regarding almost any medical procedure.. My medical books offer very little on the subject, and the internet offers some..Do you, or anyone that you know, deal with this syndrome? Any information about it and what can help to 'lessen' it would be much appreciated~

My husband has it and most likely stated having these fainting spells in 2007 and they have slowly gotten worse. In March he had one when he took his walk and then we went for his check up with the doctor a week later had one in the office they run all kinds of test. Tilt table, Treadmill, heart moditer, and will be having a sleep test some time soon, and he has ekg's cat scans and othere test the only test that showed any thing was the Tilt Table test andthe heart moditer. A doctor said it was Synocpa but the heart doctor said it is Vaso-Vagal Syncope. My mother was a nurse (from 1940 to 1994) and never heard of it and she could not pin point what was happening. It was told to us that the Veins do opeen up and the blood doesn't flow through the Veins as fast as it is pumping the blood and you get light head and just faint the only thing is when my husband has gone down if is only for a few seconds and in May he was coming form the living room to the kitchen and past out and about 1/2 hour later the some thing so we went to the hosiptal and it happened in the parking lot all within an hour, they also did a nuck test of his lungs. That was a Thrusday and the following Saturday he come out to the car to carry some groceries and when he got in the house he past out again they alos did a MRI, and Wltra Sound of his neck and nothing. The also keep him that Saturday night and found that laying down and sitting up his blood pressure was high and when he stood up it went low. That is the other sign that it was Waso Vagal Syncopa.

i am sorry that i do not have any knowledge of this vaso-vagal syndrome. i do not even know the symptoms and causes of it. most probably, you will be met with nothing much from the responses from here because, this is something which is very new around. perhaps the fruits which had been found to be nourishing the entirety of our body systems will help your friend: fresh sugar cane juice, pineapples, apples, grapes, guavas, water melons and papayas. there are herbs, too, and roots like ginger (boiled in water to produce a drink), lemon grass (boiled to produce a drink) and oregano (press the leaves and get a spoonful to drink 3x a day. Lemons and oranges are good health drinks for anyone who's sick. i hope that i was able to help somehow.
