Did anyone see the GRAMMYS today?

I usually do not have time to check out any award shows, and sometimes, I am just not interested, because it can seem as though there is some type of conspiracy going on. However, I was very entertained this year, and I have to say, not really disappointed either. I liked many of the performances, they were up to par, and there did seem to be a fair distribution of awards. Did anyone have any comments about the 49th Annual Grammy Awards, were you hoping someone would win in particular? What are your thoughts on the Grammys, this year or any other year?

I was delighted to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform their song "Hey Oh" and the confetti effect was really beautiful. Further proof that punks can be poetic, too.

At my country I'm not sure if they show at same day.Maybe to any satellite program.,but I didn't see them.So I wait read here the comment about the Grammys and come back add mine after i watch them.I hope soon or just I'll lose my time? I see you find good the program.

It was pretty good, but very long...you might enjoy watching parts of it, and seeing all the famous people.

Honestly I did not watch the entire thing. I was laynig on the couch for a bit and the only reason I watched was to see what everyone was wearing. I fell asleep pretty quick though.
I've watched other years, and I do like the performances. The way I feel today, I think I will be lucky to see the 50th awards lol.

I was so tired myself, 3 long hours, and I had a pounding headache. I really wanted it to be over, but there were so many people there that I was glad to see won, especially the Dixie Chicks...they have made a good comeback.

I have to admit, I didn't watch it either. We don't have a t.v. and I think if we did, I probably wouldn't have watched it. It seems like each year it's the same thing to me. I think they're getting dull and boring and have wayyy too many commericals.

Usually that is how I feel, except, this year was a good surprise, much better than usual. So, I am glad that I at least saw it, this year.

I haven't seen them but I just heard through news updates that Wolfmother (and Australian group) got an award for best heavy rock song?

I am not sure about that, because it is hard to keep up with all the people that won, sometimes, there are singers that I do not listen to, so I do not know who they are.

I saw only about 10 minutes of the Grammys. What I saw was pretty boring. Rascal Flatts sang Hotel California by the Eagles and it was terrible.

Yeah, that was near the end, but they did a good job, as that is a great song, and I am originally Californian. You missed all the people that you probably liked.
