We find many vehicles on roads everyday consisting of only one person travelling to office and occupying a huge space on the road and leading to traffic congestion. Considering this, some came up with the idea od car pooling. which basically meant that, people travelling alone in a car would collect people who travel and work on the same route as that of his, on a cost sharing basis. But, this has somehow not caught up? What could be the reason? Isnt it beneficial?

That's very good if we only can sustain it. I also am travelling alone because carpooling means you have to adjust to other's time. But given the chance I would also want to share with others especially now that global warming is an issue

Well, maybe that people like to commute on their own and be independent.secondly some people might feel hesitant to ask for money and some also do not pay. Some people make others wait and some are dominating. It is difficult for too many adults to find the right balance with each other and to accept each other with their faults.
