Accept all complements with "Thank You".Ever received a complement and replied,"Oh,it was nothing"When you reject a complement, the message you give yourself is that you are not worthy of praise.Respond to all complements with a simple "Thank you".

I love receiving compliments because it boosts my self-esteem. I usually reply with a Thank You and yes, sometimes I do say, "Oh, it was nothing much" or "It's not a big deal". You do feel a little something when somebody gives you a good compliment. The feeling of happiness and satisfaction, actually. So, don't stop complimenting. You'll be making someone's day.

I usually respond with a "no big deal" or something like that, it is hard for me to accept compliments. I am slowly trying to be more thankful and say Thank You.

I do say Thank you when I receive a complement, I don't know how eles to respond I thought that was common curtsey :) Thank you for outlining the importance of saying it though.....

Or, you really mean it was nothing. If I reply to a compliment with 'it was nothing', that's exactly what I mean. I didn't exert much effort on whatever I'm being complimented for and therefor don't feel it should be complimented. If something I've done actually isn't worthy of praise, then yes, I'm going to dismess the compliment. It would be rude and unfair otherwise.
