What would you do if your hair dryer fell in the tub full of water or any thing that would have electricity running through it? I know that when I cleaned out the freezer my dad would have me put on rubber shoes becuase he was afraid of me getting electricuted with all of the other elcectric stuff around and the fridge was old. I know that I had a blender fall in the kitchen sink, but I just unplugged it and fished it out of the sink. Still worked too!

Just some common sense when you have electrical appliances and the sourse of moisture together. Usually refrigerator is not plugged in during cleaning in most cases. Also there are those new outlets that have a shut off when an imbalance occurs. You can run the keyboard through the dishwasher I have heard. Shake it out and then wash it and be sure it is really dry when you plug it back in. There is such a thing as rational fear and then using common sense.

Yep, you are right. I did not know that about the keyboard; nice to know. I had a grandma that would put wet rags on the lamps. Hmmm.

As long as you stay out of the water, you can pull the plug out of the wall with any appliance that is in water. The rubber grounds you somewhat, that is why dad had you wear them.

He was super paranoid about it, and I don't blame him.

If anything like that were to happen I would unplug it before removing it. My bathtub is far away from the outlet where I plug my hairdryer. I get freaky over stuff like that when the kids are around.

Well, I certainly would not reach into the tub of water to grab it! Ouch! I would do as you would with the blender. I would unplug it and then grab it out of the water. Only thing is...I would not plug it in again until I knew it was completely dried out. :)

Hair dryer - Profesional Hair Dryer
i think it is depend on the situation if the hairdryer fall into the water which the cable not plug into the supply so you can dry your hairdryer outside wait till the water is dried, but if your hairdryer cable is plug into the supply do not take the hairdryer in the water unplug the cable first then take the hairdryer out from the water dry the hairdryer till there is no water inside.
