Changing Oneself

New Year's resolutions, giving up things for Lent and then sticking to it, self-evaluation...there are all sorts of times when we decide that we will change aspects about ourselves that we do not like. How effective is it though? Have you ever managed to keep a New Year's resolution through an entire year? If you have effected any changes within yourself, did you get help (such as "tell me when I act like XYZ") or use outside mechanisms to keep you on track?

Every year I make atleast 5 resolution and try my best to keep at least one out of 5 through out the year. Last time I thought that I will not buy any clothes for me for a full year and I sticked to it. This year I have decided not to waste money on internet business I hope I will stick to it.
