E85 fuel

I have a Lexus IS300, which requires 93 octane fuel. That is all I have ever put in her and she runs beautifully. However, someone recently told me that if I used a couple gallons of E85 with every tank of gas that she would run better and it wouldn't cause any problems. Now I have a very hard time believing that, but truthfully know nothing about E85. I am building my IS300 and I race her; I am also planning on doing a twin-turbo imported 2JZ engine swap this summer and want to give her only the best. I won't put anything different in her. But if there is anyone that could tell me more about it and if it is even an option for non flex-fuel vehicles I would appreciate it.

There are a couple of things I would suggest. The first thing I would suggest is to read your owners manual. Read especially about fuel requirements. If it says you can use it, go ahead. The second suggestion I have is to ask your dealer what their suggestion is. If they don't recommend it, don't do it.
