Do you know what cheese straws are and do you like them if you do? Do you just buy them or do you make your own? I like to make my own, but they are sooo bad for a person. Here is a recipie for them if you like Cheese straws Yield: 25 Servings 3/4 c Butter; softened 1 lb Sharp Cheddar cheese; grated 2 c Flour 1 ts Salt 1 ts Red pepper; scant Combine butter and cheese. Mix in flour, salt and pepper well. Press star shapes onto ungreased cookie sheets, using cookie press. Bake at 350°. 10-12 minutes. Makes 25 to 30 servings. MMMMM

Like my croissants these cheese straws are for wintertime and for special occasions. Thanks for supplying this recipe since I think mine was lost in the fire. I have regained a favorite!! Thanks so much for sharing it here at Mylot.
