The roomie, a friend & I all went to the Daredevil movie when it came out. At the end, when Kingpin discovers who Daredevil is & Matt says - right, tell them you were beaten up by a blind guy. Well, we just fell over laughing. Now, understand that my roomie IS blind - not total, what they call a "Blink," someone with partial sight. When she was about 21 she was going to work and walking down to the bus stop to catch the bus when a big, black man grabbed her from behind. The next thing she remembered was the guy laying on the ground crying. She went & called the police. They came up and asked what was wrong with her "boyfriend." She replied that he wasn't her boyfriend. They then asked her what she hit him with, she held up her blind stick - one of those "folding" ones, folded in half, of rolled aluminum. They told her to put it on the ground. An ambulance came & took him to the hospital & she went on to work (one of the police men also acted as security at the hotel she worked at.) After the guy was relieced to the jail, he was telling the other inmates that the police had beaten him up. The police brought in the news artical that proved that he was beaten up by a "fat, blind, white woman." Oh, FYI, she broke both bones in his lower right arm, cracked 2 ribs, broke his collar bone, dented his skull and ruptured his testical (the other one also had to be removed.) Besides the assalt on her, they were able to pin 4 rapes on him as well. Last heard, he was still behind bars 25 years later - hope he's enjoying himself!
