Destiny is something we choose to go after.... Fate is something that happens to us, and seemingly takes away our choices, but in fact actually leads us back towards the choice of Destiny we already made before we were born.

I feel that fate is what happens on the journey, while destiny is the destination...for lack of better words. Fate would be considered the good and bad things that happen in life, while one's destiny is the overall encapsulation of those events. I have always liked the following thought, please excuse me if it is not verbatim: "Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. Not a thing to be waited for; a thing to be achieved" - William Jennings Bryan One can argue that fate and destiny are variables, as life is 10% what happens and 90% your reaction to that even. Then again, maybe we are SUPPOSED to make the choices that we do, so that we THINK that we are freeminded, but it is all really predetermined? Life is a fascinating puzzle, isn't it?

Yes, te target we keep or the final target we get is our destiny isn't it and fate is usally what happens to us when we plan for something else here ..isn't it? as you told, fate might be good as well as bad also...... I completely agree to William Jennings quote......"Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. Not a thing to be waited for; a thing to be achieved"...beautiful quote isn't it? Anyway's, thanks for responding
