Okay Ive recently quit/trying to quit smoking once again. Ive tried meds a couple times without any success. Well I did stop for 5 1/32 months on meds but I had gotten very moodey. My family couldnt stand being around me. Hell I couldnt stand being around me. LOL. Ive tried cold turkey before and started again due to weight gain. Now Ive been smoke free 22 days and still have a small weight gain. My question is what do others do with their urges when the feel the need for a moke? Like after dinner etc. My worse times are when I wake up and when online. Im doing so so this time around. In 3 weeks Ive had 2 smokes only. Thats great for me. I am not going back to meds. So whats a good way to ease my mind and or urges all you smoke free/quitters out here?

I can't afford the meds/patches and such to help me quit smoking. What I've found was chewing a very strong mint gum whenever I get the urge to light up. I smoke menthols so it's helping me slowly but surely. I'm now down from a pack a day to bout 3/4 pack a day.

Well I tried to quit only once and it was not a good way. I went to a hypnotist and what a joke that was.I sat there for about an hour while she rambled on. Then she told me I could come back now. I told her I didn't go anywhere. And when she ask me how I felt after, I said I felt like going to my car for a smoke. Cost me sixty dollars for this crap.

I thought about the hypnosis but I also feel it's a joke. But I've been smoke free about 5weeks I think. I've lost track. I'm late at getting to reading past comments so thanks a bit late.
